Panel 1:
We have returned to Universe A, where it is still March of 2023.
In fact, it's the day after the last time we saw Iz A. He is standing
on Rose's family's front porch, holding Rose's white cane, which she
left at his apartment yesterday. Radha, Rose's stepmother, stands in
the doorway, barring the way. Iz B, the disembodied Iz from the other
universe, is listening in.
Caption: March 24, 2023
Iz A: I need to talk to--
Radha: No.
Panel 2: Iz A begins to cry. Radha takes the white cane.
Iz A: Please--
Radha: She told us what happened.
Panel 3: Now both of them are crying.
Radha: I understand that it wasn't your choice...but it will be. You will do that. You need to understand how unforgivable that is. Don't contact her again.
Panel 4: Radha enters the house and closes the door, leaving Iz A crying on the porch.
Iz A [thinks]: Perhaps I can just stand on this doorstep forever.
Iz B: I'm not sure that's viable.
