Panel 1: Jennifer, Rose, and Iz are sitting on the couch in Rose and Iz's living room.

Jennifer: So the one unified universe is a pane of glass. And then...I discover time travel.

Panel 2:

Jennifer: This would be like something that was never meant to happen to the glass: something that put unprecedented stress on it.

Rose: So it started to crack.

Panel 3:

Jennifer: Not quite. It was made to be unified...to be one. It didn't want to crack. The strain on it became enormous...and inexorably, it began to separate into two planes.

Panel 4:

Jennifer: And then it got really complicated.

Rose: Only then, eh?

Alt-Text:
The levels of complication are "simple," "puzzling," "complicated," "really complicated," "really, really complicated," "bewildering," and "oh my god, my brain is melting."
