this special Hallowe'en-themed banner header, Iz A is standing in a
dark space, looking into a mirror. His left hand is touching the
surface of the mirror. In it, we see Iz B. We can tell the difference
because Iz A is heftier and has black hair, while the white-haired Iz B
is thin and has dark circles under his eyes. To make things slightly
more unsettling, just for funsies, Iz A is lit from behind and slightly
to his right, while Iz B is lit from in front and slightly to his left
(effectively, the light is coming through the mirror and hitting Iz B). To the right of Iz A, in creepy font, are the words "It Never Rains by Kari Maaren."
Panel 1: In Universe A, back in March of 2023, Iz A and Maggie are sitting on the ground shortly after sunset.
Maggie: I once told you that text you sent me was the worst thing you'd ever done.
Iz A: You did? I don't remember that.
Panel 2:
Maggie: Lucky you. Anyway...I thought you'd lured me in...convinced me there was something there. And then...
Panel 3:
Iz A: Rose, I love you, okay? Mr. Jones said he didn't, and I...I don't understand. I love you.
Panel 4: Maggie and Iz A hug. This is a big deal for both of them. Iz is crying again.
Maggie: This is not how I expected to spend my evening.
Iz A: Me either.
