And with that bit of bleakness, I just need to warn you: Monday's comic will be peak bleak. But after that, things will get gradually less despairing. We're also not too far from the return of a certain force of chaos. And I can guarantee that there will be a hug soon. Fear not: it's always darkest before the time anomaly.

Panel 1: In Universe A, back in March of 2023, Iz A sits on his couch, crying and talking to Mr. Jones on the phone.

Iz A [glares]: I'm done.

Mr. Jones [on phone]: You think you are.

Panel 2:

Iz A: No, I really am. This is too much. I could never do what you just did to anyone, especially not someone I loved.

Panel 3: 

Mr. Jones: Well, that's just it: I don't love her any more.

Panel 4: Iz A bows his head and closes his eyes.

Mr. Jones: It's just a matter of time.

Mr. Jones: In more ways than one.

Alt-Text: And the worst bit is that Mr. Jones remembers being on the other side of this conversation.
