| I've
finally started updating the character page, and I'll try to continue
at the rate of one new entry every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday until
I'm done. We've done Mr. Jones, Fathima, Kai, Basil, Cynthia, and
Debra; today, it's Aisha's turn. She's only been in a few comics thus
far, but she turns up from time to time as one of Rose's coworkers. I've included the entry below, but it's also available on the "Characters" page. Incidentally, this is the first time in the last nine and a half years that Rose has outright told someone about the time travel. In every previous instance, the person has noticed the time travel happening, found out in the past because of the time travel, or been told by someone else. Even Denise, who is told by Rose, really finds out earlier when Alex shows her two Roses at once. Fathima is the first character who has had no clue at all. |

| Panel 1: Rose is over at Fathima's place. She has her arms around Fathima, who is devastated at the news that Iz seems to be dying. Fathima: If we just knew why...! Rose [thinks]: I should tell her the truth. It's appalling that it's never occurred to me to do that. Panel 2: Rose [thinks]: No, I can't. She'll be so mad at me. Rose [thinks]: Don't I deserve for her to be mad at me? Rose [thinks]: But-- Rose [thinks]: I have to tell her. Panel 3: Rose seizes Fathima by the arms. Rose: I'm a time traveller, which is my sister Jennifer's fault, and we think Iz has got caught up in some time-travel-related accident that has created a rift in space-time, and I'm so sorry! Panel 4: A second Rose appears beside the first. Fathima: Whoa. Rose 2: And to get this out of the way, here's proof. Alt-Text: Rose does not do anything by half measures. Go to commentary |
