Rose: Are you okay now?
Kai: Yes, I've been cancer free for a long time, though I get extra colonoscopies for life.

Kai:
But I've always thought Iz had all those problems at school because of
the cancer, or Lei leaving, or both. He didn't start acting out until
he was thirteen or so, but I think it was all boiling away in there.
Panel 3:
Fathima: I know teenagers can be difficult, but he was such a sweet kid. And when he started bullying other kids...
Kai: We really didn't know what to do.
Panel 4:
Fathima: Until you came along.
Kai: You annoyed him right back into his old self. It was beautiful.
