Fathima: Did Iz ever tell you about his sister Lei?
Rose: Yeah...he said she'd cut ties with you.

Kai: That's not the whole story. Fourteen years ago, I was diagnosed with colon cancer.
Fathima: They caught it early, but it was pretty traumatic for the kids.

Fathima:
Lei was twenty. A month into the treatment, she announced she couldn't
handle it and walked out. Iz was ten, and he didn't understand.

Rose: To be fair, I wouldn't have either.
Kai: I was forty-one, and I super did not get it.
