Panel 1: In
Universe A in July of 2022, Iz A is birdwatching in a forest. Iz B, the
disembodied voice of the Iz from Universe B, has been experiencing the
strange sensation of becoming aware of his real body while Rose is in
his hospital room.
Iz B: She's gone.
Panel 2: Iz A peers through binoculars, presumably at a bird.
Iz B: Okay. Think about this. You know it can't be some mystical connection, so what is it? The time travel again?
Panel 3: Iz A writes something down in a little notebook.
Iz B:
Got to be. However the universe got...split, I'm caught up in it, and I
bet Rose is too. Would I be able to feel the presence of any time traveller?
Panel 4: Iz A begins to walk through the forest.
Iz B: And did it really take Rose three months to visit me in what I assume is the hospital?
Iz B: Maaaaaan.

So a couple of years ago, in July of 2021, there was a throwaway joke
in which Iz, seeing Rose in person for the first time since the
beginning of the pandemic, claimed he was a birder now. This was not a
lie.
