Panel 1: Back in April of 2022, Iz stands in the park, holding his phone.
Iz [thinks]: Okay. That's it. I have to keep going. It's the only chance I have to make things better.
Panel 2: Iz
deletes his text to Mr. Jones. A reminder for those who have, for
whatever reason, not memorised the entirety of this webcomic: the text
reads "I quit."
Panel 3: Okay,
this next bit is a little difficult to describe. From here on out,
there are going to be two Izes: 1) the one we can see and hear and
whose thoughts we can read and
2) a disembodied one who lives inside the visible Iz's head. We'll call
the visible Iz "Iz A." The invisible Iz, whose words--unheard by the
visible Iz--appear in a turquoise bubble that is neither a thought
bubble nor a speech bubble, is "Iz B." I'm sorry this is so confusing.
Iz B: There. It's done. It's...wait a minute...
Panel 4:
Iz B: Where's the text? I just sent a text.
Iz A [thinks]: There. It's done.
Iz B: Aaagh!
Alt-Text:
I know that when I delete a text, it makes a "delete" sound.
