Panel 1: In Rose's bedroom, in the middle of the night, Rose is curled up in a ball of pain with her head in Jennifer's lap.

Jennifer: I've been working on time travel since I was in my teens.

Panel 2:

Jennifer: At first, it was all theoretical, but one day, on a whim, I decided to test a theory I had about the directionality of information.

Panel 3:

Jennifer: With almost no equipment, I succeeded in texting my mother two hours in the past.

Panel 4:

Jennifer: I knew I would succeed because I got a "What the hell is this text?" text an hour before I had the idea.

Rose: Naturally.

Alt-Text: People in this universe who manipulate time seem to use the bootstrapping technique almost without thinking about it.
