Panel 1: In August of 2011, Rose sits on a bench in a park not far from the house she will live in a few years later.
Rose [thinks]: Jack's wrong. I can't work out my issues. Everything is fated anyway. There's no use in going back to the present.
Panel 2:

Voice From Off Panel: Iz! Wait up!
Panel 3: Three
boys walk past Rose, one trailing behind the others. They are clearly
Iz, Tim, and Josh as children. Tim is thirteen; Iz and Josh are twelve. Josh is substantially smaller than the other boys.
Past Iz: You keep up.
Past Josh: I'm gonna get my growth spurt soon, you know!
Panel 4:
Rose [thinks]: Okay, staying in the past is no longer working.
Past Josh: I'll be taller than you.
Past Iz: Ha...as if.
Alt-Text: You've been hanging out with a child in the same neighbourhood in which Iz and his friends grew up. Why are you surprised?
