It Never Rains has won its second Aurora Award! The Auroras are given out every year to Canadian works of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. It Never Rains has won in the Graphic Novel category, which includes webcomics. Here is a picture of me holding the trophy. I have an older one as well, but the trophy has been redesigned since I won that one, and the new one is much less spiky and lethal.

Kari, a middle-aged white woman with long brown hair, holds an Aurora Award trophy, which looks a bit like a curved sheet of ice with a jagged top and a maple leaf printed on it, as well as a silver card reading, "2019 Aurora Award / Best Graphic Novel / It Never Rains / Kari Maaren, / Webcomic."

Panel 1: Iz, randomly wearing a black cape and looking extremely happy and excited, approaches Rose in the park. They are standing in front of a bush that is beginning to turn orange.

Iz: Hallowe'en!

Panel 2: Rose, pale and tired, stares blankly at Iz.

Panel 3:

Iz:
Rose?

Panel 4:

Rose: I want to go into an extended fantasy sequence, but because of time travel, I've been awake for thirty-seven hours.

Iz: Well, okay, then.

Alt-Text: "Wouldn't it be great to have time-travel powers? I can see absolutely no down side."
