I have acquired some working technology and have been able to finish my comic on time. If this tablet dies just over a year into its life (i.e., a few months out of warranty), Wacom and I shall have Words.

Panel 1: Rose and Iz approach Maggie, who is panhandling in her usual spot.

Rose: Where is he?

Maggie: Who?

Panel 2: Rose leans down towards Maggie.

Rose: Kris. I met him before, didn't I? Where is he?

Maggie: Around.

Panel 3: Rose kneels on Maggie's blanket.

Maggie: When he's ready, he'll find you.

Rose: Oh, good...my favourite. What am I supposed to tell Kristi?

 Panel 4:

Maggie: That you're an elf.

Rose: That didn't even work on Iz.

Iz [crosses his arms and rolls his eyes]: Speaking of which...
