I've produced another character portrait / blog entry in the run-up to the publication of my first novel, Weave a Circle Round. This time, the character in question is Josiah (no surname, or so he claims), and the blog entry is a meditation on love interests and why we tend to see stories as incomplete without them. (Josiah is not a love interest. That's the point.)

Panel 1: At the library, Rose removes a book from a shelf. A young woman watches her suspiciously.

Panel 2:

Woman: Oh my God, you are such a fake blind person.

Panel 3:

Rose: Oh my God, you are such a fake blonde person.

Panel 4:

Woman [thinks]: [indescribable bad thought that appears only as a scribble in a thought balloon]
