I'm afraid that's all, folks. The summer is over, and I must return to my thrice-a-week schedule. My characters are going to university, and I'll be joining them, albeit as an instructor rather than a student. I'm no longer going to have time to draw daily comics. Maybe someday someone will hand me a bucket full of thousand-dollar bills, and I'll be able to quit my day job. A girl can dream.

Panel 1: In the front hall of Rose's house, Claudia watches as Rose stuffs a book into her backpack.

Claudia: Your first year of university! It's so exciting!

Rose: Mm.

Panel 2: The backpack is on Rose's back.

Claudia: Not so exciting?

Rose: You tell me.

Panel 3:

Rose: Did you find your first-year courses, which were doubtless designed either to coddle or to terrify you, "exciting"?

Panel 4: Rose moves past Claudia towards the door.

Claudia: You're supposed to save the cynicism for your second week.

Rose: I'm not good at waiting.
