Good news, everyone: after months of waiting, I can finally announce that my first novel, The House on Grosvenor Street,
has been accepted for publication by Tor Books. I've known about this
since April, but Tor countersigned the contract only today. This has
been a dream of mine since I was a small child, so I am quite excited.
Don't
worry: the comic isn't going anywhere. I am used to multitasking my
creative endeavours. In fact, I wrote this particular book five years
ago, right in the middle of West of Bathurst's run.
In
case you're interested, the book is a YA fantasy about a girl named
Freddy and her family's entanglement with the mysterious people next
door. It's full of time travel, folklore, mythology, funny bits, lots
and lots of spider plants, and allusions to the poetry of Samuel Taylor
Coleridge. |
