Yes, it's true: yesterday's comic was not what really happened. Sorry for any confusion. I sometimes feel guilty about my devotion to April Fools' Day, but it does allow me to draw some fun "What if?" comics.

The Friday comic will appear as usual, but it may be a bit later than usual, as the April Fools' Day comic has left me a wee bit behind. We shall see.

Panel 1: Jacqueline and Rose talk outside the house.

Rose: Okay, what I really need is for you to be distracted for a few seconds. Can you do that for me?

Panel 2: 

Jacqueline: What are you--

Rose [pointing]: Oh my God, it's Batman!

Panel 3: Involuntarily, Jacqueline looks behind her.

Panel 4: When she looks back, Rose is gone.

Panel 5: Maggie turns up behind Jacqueline, holding a bird.

Jacqueline: Goddamnit.

Maggie: False alarm. It was just a robin.
