The West of Bathurst Kickstarter is up to $3,445, or 46% of the $7,500 goal, and the project has been chosen as a Kickstarter staff pick, which means that at least one person on the Kickstarter staff is intrigued by it. Panel 1: Rose continues to crouch beside the panhandler.

Rose: Is there something interesting over there?

Panhandler: Over where?

Panel 2:

Rose: Over where you keep looking.

Panhandler: Nope.

Panel 3: 

Rose: Then why--

Panhandler: If you don't hurry, you'll be late for the first day of school, and you'll miss out on a small amount of useless knowledge.

Panel 4:

Rose: It is useless, isn't it?

Pandhandler: I know I've made good and frequent use of my skill with quadratic equations.
