The Prix Aurora Award nominees have been announced, and I am apparently competing against myself; both Beowulf Pulled My Arm Off and Pirate Elves in Space (with Copy Red Leader) have been nominated in the Fan Music category. My friends Debs and Errol are also on the list, as are Brooke Abbey and, believe it or not, Chris Hadfield. Yes, that Chris Hadfield. I am competing against a man who recorded his song in space. Next year, I'm going to have to find a TARDIS somewhere and do my recording in that. Congratulations to all the nominees. Hurrah! |

Panel 1: Rose is sitting in her classroom. The other students watch her warily as she speaks. Rose: And then he tried to give me a white cane he'd apparently found in the street, even though he could clearly see I still had mine. Panel 2: Rose: I mean, what's up with that? Doesn't anybody really see me? Am I not a complete person? If you prick me, do I not bleed? Panel 3: Rose looks expectantly at her teacher. Panel 4: Teacher: So I was asking about Macbeth... Rose: And I was bored, so I changed the subject. Alt-Text: Rose tries to get out of discussing _Macbeth_ by misquoting _The Merchant of Venice_. Clever. Go to commentary |
