The Searchlight Competition is over, so I've removed the obnoxious yellow button.  Hurrah!  ('s not over, but the first round is, so I'm assuming it will be over for me at some point on Monday afternoon.  It was fun while it lasted, though.)

Monday, April 7, 2014

Panel 1:  Israel follows Rose down the school hallway.  Actually, let's start calling Israel "Iz," since that's what he prefers.  Thus:  Iz follows Rose down the school hallway.

Rose:  You have a bit of a temper, Israel.  You should learn to keep that in check.

Panel 2:

Rose:  The angrier you get, the easier it is for me to manipulate you.  You outweigh me by maybe a hundred pounds, but I'm in control of this conversation.

Panel 3: They arrive at a classroom.  A boy stands next to the door, looking at his phone.

Rose:  And so while you continue to fume, I'll distract you with words long enough to take us to the door of my math class, where, alas, I'll leave you to your own devices.  Have a great day.

Panel 4:  Rose vanishes into the math classroom.  Iz stands in the doorway, rather stunned.

Iz:  What just happened?  Something happened there!

Boy With Phone:  Dude, I think she pwned you.

Alt-Text: I can't decide whether Rose would be the best or the worst politician ever.  On one hand, she can certainly talk herself out of a problematic situation.  On the other, she antagonises everyone she knows.  Hmm.  Maybe she WOULD be a good politician.
