In case you hadn't already realised, let me just confirm that yesterday's comic was all April Foolsy.  I accidentally fooled at least one person (I was aiming more for mild bewilderment followed by a swiftly dawning comprehension, but ah well).  Sadly, West of Bathurst will not be returning as the comic-strip equivalent of an American sitcom.  We now continue with our regular scheduled programming.

Panel 1:  Israel follows Rose down the school corridor.

Israel:  How come you have a white cane if you're not blind?

Panel 2:

Rose:  I'm a ninja assassin.

Israel:  No.

Rose:  I butter my bread with it.

Israel:  No.

Panel 3:

Rose:  It's a mystical sword I won at poker.

Israel:  No.

Rose:  It's sentient.

Israel:  No.

Rose:  You're only imagining it's there.

Israel:  No.

 Panel 4:  

Rose:  Mice?

Israel:  JUST TELL ME.

Alt-Text: I'm going to have to go with "mice."  You can't trust those little buggers.
