Wacom has basically abandoned me. Even though my Cintiq is under warranty, I haven't received the replacement cable I was promised. In the meantime, the Surface pen is finally out. I had to clear one more hurdle before I could actually start using it: it didn't work properly with my old copy of Photoshop Elements, so I finally had to bite the bullet and subscribe to Adobe Creative Suite. Luckily (and take note, students and teachers), Adobe offers a pretty steep discount to people with educational affiliation. So I finally have a tablet pen I can use, though I'm also having to relearn Photoshop, since everything is in a different place now.

If you're curious: the Surface pen is okay. The Wacom pen is more responsive (when it's working) and accurate, and it's not as weird about the whole tilt thing, but then again, the Surface pen does work most of the time and doesn't require me to reboot Photoshop ten times in a forty-minute session. I also may just have to get used to it. I will have to figure out where to buy AAAA batteries, as the pen runs on those.

At last, I have a way of editing my comic that doesn't take forever and destroy the tendons in my right hand. Hurrah!

Panel 3: A future Rose bobs up from behind the couch. She hands a card to Rose.

Future Rose: You dropped this.

Rose: Oh, thanks.

Panel 4:

Rose: Super, super careful.

Iz: Uh...
