Panel 1: Rose is standing in front of what looks like the house on Lone Pine, though it's pink instead of maroon, the tree in the yard is smaller, and the bushes are gone, replaced by a flower bed.

Rose
[thinks]: Is this it? Or that? I don't know where I am. I--

Voice from the house: Brat!

Panel 2: Rose slips behind the tree. Two people continue to speak off-panel.

Person 1:
Go play. Leave me alone!

Person 2: I was playing. I was reenacting all the deaths in Hamlet.

Panel 3: Person 2 appears near the tree. She is a girl of ten or eleven with glasses and long red hair in two shaggy ponytails.

Person 1: You're so weird.

Girl: I own and venerate my weirdness.

Panel 4: The girl turns abruptly to Rose.

Girl: Wouldn't you agree, pantsless girl hiding behind a tiny tree?

Rose: Uh...
